37w1d

Rikki had a DR. appointment today at 10:50.  She's still 1cm dilated and is now 70% effaced.  Looks like Emma is going to stay in a little while longer which is a good thing I guess.  As bad as I want her here with me, It's much better for her to stay a while longer to help develop her lungs more.

She goes back to the DR. Monday,  June 3rd at 8:10.  WOW..I can't believe she has scheduled it that early but I'm glad.  By the time I wake up she will be texting me letting me know.  :)

37w

Rikki's big ole weekly belly picture.  It's so sweet.  HEHE

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Emma's nursery

I can't believe I am about to type this BUT I have a nursery in my house.  A little girl nursery.  How awesome is that.  lol  I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.  :)

Perfect room for a perfect miracle baby!!!

Joe and I are so excited and anticipating the arrival of Miss Emma Katherine Tanner.  :))

My baby shower.

This is going to probably be a long post but so deserving.  As you all know I have waited my entire life for my very own baby shower.  It was definitely all I could have ever wanted it to be.

                              Morning of the shower.....
Yesterday morning when I got up, Joe and I spent a little time together.  I cleaned up some and done some laundry.  I need to be up doing it now but oh well.  I got ready for my shower while Joe went fishing.  After I got dressed I had to run to Stacey's and give her my memory card where she could take pictures for me.  If you know me at all you know how I love my pictures and this occasion was NO exception.  Bethany curled my hair for me.  I thought It was so pretty.  I had time to spare before I went to the shower so I went by Morgan's  house and played with her baby girl Chloe.  She's adorable.  As I headed to the church I received a text message from Joseph.  It make me cry like a baby.  See, his mom had already informed me earlier that she wasn't gonna be able to make it to my shower due to she had woke up that morning with "sinus" problems.  HELLO..This is your granddaughters baby shower....You sinuses isn't a good enough reason NOT to participate.  Anyway, I had called Joe and told him and he knew I was upset.  So this is the text message he sent me.
I have such an amazing husband.  I know our families are going to love EK just as much as we do because they show it.  It's just Joe's mom isn't an involved person and she rarely leaves her house.  With that being said...SHE SHWEDD UP AT THE SHOWER ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER IT STARTED.  :))  I was happy for that.

The baby shower....
I got to the shower right on time.  I stopped right outside the door to gather myself but that didn't work.  I was just a boohooing from the text I had just received from Joseph then as I walked in the door and saw all the people there for me and Emma I was just so happy I didn't know what to do but cry.

It was definitely a happy cry that's for sure.  I was so happy to see everyone and all the gifts and decorations for me.  :))  I am so thankful for what all my friends and family have done for me.
The cake.  It was sooo delicious and moist.
