WOW...I sure can't believe it is February 2012 already. Where has the time gone? Sooo much has happend to my family in the past 2 weeks. First of all, Im gonna start with my parents getting arrested. January 19th, 2012. It was such a beautiful day that day. I got up early enough to go have "brunch" with my sister. I had gotten a phone call from my mama but I didn't have good service so I didn't answer. She left a voicemail saying that she had taken Ricky to the DR. and he has Pharyngitis and Bronchitis and they were gonna go home and lay down awhile. So, I didn't worry with calling her back.
The next time I hear from my mama was @ 2:05pm. It was from a number I was hoping wasn't true. She says,"Katie, what time do you have to be at work?" I said, " 4pm,Y" She said, "I need you to come to the police station and get my ciggerate case!!" I said, "Y??" She said, "We r in JAIL"!!! Yes you read that right....MY PARENTS ARE IN JAIL!!! :((((( I said, "Y" All my mother was allowed to say is there charge was manufacturing and the sale of precurser. I knew what manufacturing was but not the other. I was DUMFOUNDED to say the least. I told her I would be right there. I jumped up and threw my work clothes on, called Joe and Jessica, and we headed to Fayette. When we get there, or course, police wouldn't let us see them. :(( We did find out exactly what there charge was. It was all ONE charge. Manufaturing/Sale of Precurser which means they bought pills with the intent to sale to a drug dealer/maker for a large sum of money. Officer informed us neither one of them were doing drugs, just they were selling the pills to make money off them because times were hard and they needed money. SOOO, this is all we have to go own because we can't talk to them to see what really happend.
I had to go to Black's Wrecker Service and pay $75 to get Mama's car out of the inpound. I had to use bill money but I didn't care. I was getting my Mama's car no matter what I had to do. It was soo weird because she has NEVER allowed anyone to drive her car and here I am driving it. It was bittersweet. :(( All I could do was cry. I had to go gather up Ricky's medicine at the Pharmacy and carry back to the jail. When I walked in to drop his meds off there he is. They had him in integragation and was taking him back upstairs. He was there in his orange jump suit, handcuffs, shackles...Looking just like a criminal. It was DEVISTATING and I broke down. I couldn't talk to him and he couldn't talk to me. Jessica and I just stood there, ALL ALONE, looking at our "Daddy" that way. Were were horrified. They finally took him upstairs and it was then time for me to leave and go to work. Jessica had to get back to Berry to get her girls.
I was an hr late for work. I wouldn't have went in but I wasn't gonna leave Terrika there to close all alone. It's sooo hard to close with to people let alone all on one person. All night I was an emotional basket case. I just couldn't imagine what my Mama and Stepdad was going through. I went on break about 7 and I had a missed call on my phone from a number I had no idea what it was. I called it back and it was busy. I knew right then that my mama had tried to call me but I couldn't answer. I was soooo upset. I called my sister and told her and Mama had tried to call her to. Since all either one of us had was cell phones we had to call and put a special program on our phones just to be able to accept there phone calls. UGH!! After I got off work at 9pm, I had to go to Mama's apartment and get Tiny, her dog. Tiny didn't understand Y I was getting her. She kept looking for Mama. :( Sooo sad.
The next day, I was off from work. It was the day to take Hannah out for her birthday. I posted about that on one of the last post you can read about. :) Soo, after all I just went through, I felt as if I wasn't gonna skimp from taking my Hannah bug out on the town. While we were in town my phone rings and it's my Mama calling me from jail again. I answer it and I hear her voice but it wont let me answer it. UGH!!! I was devistated again. I imediately pull over on the side of the interstate and call to put that service on my phone where I can answer her phone calls. It costed me $30 and that wasn't gonna last but maybe 2 calls. WOW. How expensive but I sure didn't care. What made me soo mad was they said it wouldn't work until around 24hr. WHAT??? Really??? I was soo mad. That afternoon when I got home from town, Jessica called and they were at the jail house bonding Mama and Ricky out of jail. They finally got a bond set so I loaded Joe up and we headed over there. When I pulled into the parking lot, out walked Ricky with his belongings. He walked with his head held down and on out to the truck. We had to wait on Mama. All of a sudden, Jessica said, "Katie, look!!" I looked and there came my mama in the dreaded orange jump suit that was 5 times to big on her, carrying a rubbermade toat with her belongings in it. Her eyes were very red and swollen where she had cried for a total of 24 hrs. She looked awful. This was one of the most DEVISTATING times of my life. When do you ever wanna see your mama in a jail orange jump suit??? We get them back to Berry and I go pick them up to bring them to my house to get there car. Mama, Ricky, Joseph, and I all sat in the livingroom talking. We now find out what REALLY happened.
Brother-in-law got a scare that his colan cancer was back. Got results today its not back. Praise God for his Glory. :))

Our "Love Story"
I have saw on one of my blogger friends page where she posted there "love story" for Valentines Day. I thought I would use her questions and answer them with my very own "Love Story!!" :)
Here Goes. :)))
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Joseph and I actually got together April 9th, 2003, engaged October 16, 2003, and married April 8th, 2006. :) I'm pretty good on dates. :)
2. How did you meet?
It's kind of a long story but the shorter version is Joseph and my sister's husband, Michael, were best friends growing up. I fell in love with Joseph the first time I laid eyes on him. When he walked in the door at my sisters house it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Yep, it was. I was only 12 years old and Joe was 23 so he didn't look at me that way at all. I told my sister and BFF I was gonna marry him one day and I did. :))
3. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
Joseph and I got married here in Berry at the church he grew up in, Bible Missionary. It wasn't nothing spectacular but it was beautiful to us. :))
4. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
HAHA. U just had to ask. lol I sometimes call Joe my Buggie Bear and he sometimes calls me his Buggie BooBoo Bear. lol Yea were crazy, BUT, CRAZY INLOVE. :))
5. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
His patience. He used to have alot of patience with me BUT now it's not so good. lol
His thoughtfullness. He is always thinking of me and ways to make me happy b4 himself.
His spirit. No matter what the situation is Joe is always in good spirits about it. He is always trying to be the one to make things better instead of bad.
6. Tell us how he proposed?
My father passed away when I was only 9 years of age. Each and every time Joe and I talked about getting married and moving on to the next stage in our lives, I always brought up my daddy and how he won't ever get to be apart of my wedding. It just really upset me. Well, I knew that Joe was gonna ask me to marry him because he took me with him to buy the ring. Since I'm a chunky girl, we had to send the rings off to be sized to my right finger size. One day when I got home from school, Joe asked me did I want to ride with him to Fayette to pick up some paint for his mama. I wanted to always be with him so of course I said I did. We get to Walmart and Joe sends me to get the paint while he went to do something else. We both meet up at the registers and head back home. On our way home Joseph asked did I wanna ride by my daddy's grave since I hadn't been there in awhile. I agreed to go. When we arrived there we head on down. Joe then brings up about how he's sad that I'm sad that my daddy wont be at our wedding when we did get married. He said, "Baby, I wish your daddy would get to walk you down the isle when we get marred, but since he can't we come to him today." I turn around and look at him and said what do you mean? As I turned around I saw Joe was on his knees with my rings. He said,"I just want you to know how special you are to me and how I plan to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you to b my wife and share our ups and downs together. I know times wont always be perfect, we will have some bad times but most importantly we will have some amazing times together. I love you Katie with all my heart and I'm asking you WILL YOU MARRY ME?????" I was in total shock but of course I said YES!!!!! :))) I'm sure some will think getting engaged in a grave yard was crazy, but to me he couldn't have proposed any other way that would be as special to me. :)
7. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
I have to work tomorrow so we celebrated tonight. I made a pot of chili and an Oreo Pie. It was sooo good.
8. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
I wanted to go to the movies and watch The Vow but we didn't have the money. I don't care though. Just a wonderful night at home with my love is enough. :)
9. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Marriage is work. If you expect to just go through the motions and keep your marriage fulfilled, it won't happen. Invest in each other and your marriage, whether it be through thoughtful actions, little gifts, doing a couple's devotional together, or attending a marriage seminar. Remember neither of you are perfect, and it takes compromise.
10. Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Love, to me, means happiness. You have to have happiness to find love. :)
I hope you enjoyed reading about my Valentines Day story. :))
