Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, about the size of a mini-watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.
Rikki had her last and final baby DR. appt this morning. Emma's heart rate was 163. That's around what it has been each time she's been. Rikki has gained 5lbs since last week and is now 2cm dilated. This who time we have planned for her to be induced on June 14th, but DOC thinks it's best to induce on June 13th...one day earlier. Sooo, here we are. We FINALLY have a for sure date when Miss. Emma will be born. Just 2 more days. Holy Cow!!! Crying tears of joy since Rikki called me.
